This is part of a QSO between N2YET and me. We recently purchased the same radio, an Icom 275H. It is a 2 meter all mode radio. The reason is because we were having a rough time maintaining reliable communications on HF. 40 and 80 meters were the only bands we can hear each other but between the noise and band conditions we couldn't hear each other well. On 2 meter USB our signals to each other are over S9. We live about 60 miles apart.
