Here I am operating at N2YET's house in Central NJ. I thought I would give it a go on 75 meters on New Year's Day 2005. The band wasn't that great and was extremely noisy with some kind of interference probably from the outside electrical lines. The station I am talking to is in Slovakia which on 80 meters is more challenging than on 20 meters where Slovakia can be heard more easily. Even without the noise. His name is Jiri and his station call is OK2RZ. The radio is an Icom 718, running about 700 watts out of an Ameritron AL-80B.
